Specification of H steel
The flange of H steel is parallel or nearly parallel to the inner and outer sides of the flange, and the ends of the flanges are at right angles, hence the name of the parallel flange I-beam. The web thickness of H type steel is also higher than the ordinary I-beam web, flange width also higher than ordinary steel webs, therefore the name wide flange beam. The shape modulus, the moment of inertia and the corresponding strength of H steel are obviously better than that of the same heavy I-beam. In the metal structure with different requirements, no matter the bending moment, the pressure load and the eccentric load, it shows its superior performance. It can greatly improve the bearing capacity and save 10% ~ 40% of the metal than the ordinary I-steel. H steel has wide flange, thin web, many specifications and flexible use. It can save metal 15% to 20% for various truss structures. As the edge of the flange is parallel to the outer side of the flange, the edge ends in a right angle, which is easy to assemble into various components, thus saving about 25% of the workload of welding and riveting, which can greatly speed up the construction speed of the project and shorten the time limit for the work.
